Core Function: Ultimate Oil-Gas Separation
During the air compression process of a screw air compressor, a large amount of lubricating oil mixes with air to form oil mist. 4930653181 can reduce the residual oil content in compressed air to ≤ 3ppm (mg/m³). It prevents contamination of downstream precision equipment while minimizing the daily consumption of lubricating oil.
Material and Process: Multi-layer Composite Imported Glass Fiber
• High-efficiency Filter Media: The inner core is precisely wound with multiple layers of ultra-fine borosilicate glass fiber (typically imported HV material from the United States) [1]. This material features small pore size, high porosity and excellent chemical corrosion resistance.
• Coalescence and Separation: Tiny oil mist particles coalesce into large oil droplets through interception, impingement and diffusion effects as they pass through the filter media. The oil droplets fall into the recovery sump at the bottom of the oil separator by gravity, while clean air passes through smoothly.
Structural Strength: Heavy-load Pressure Resistance and Safety Design
• Metal Frame: The inner and outer sides are wrapped with high-strength, corrosion-resistant galvanized perforated steel plates (or stainless steel), which can withstand extremely high working differential pressure and prevent the filter element from collapsing or bursting under instantaneous high pressure.
• Conductive Safety (Static Discharge): The filter element is equipped with dedicated conductive strips or static discharge devices. High-speed friction between oil and gas easily generates static electricity. This design effectively conducts static electricity away and completely eliminates the risk of oil-gas tank explosion caused by static sparks.
• Viton Sealing: High-quality heat-resistant and oil-corrosion-resistant Viton gaskets are adopted for flanges and sealing positions to guarantee no air leakage or oil seepage under long-term harsh working conditions.
Economic and Energy-saving: Ultra-low Operating Resistance
The initial differential pressure of this filter element is ≤ 0.02 MPa (0.2 bar). Extremely low resistance means the air compressor does not need to consume extra electric power to overcome filter resistance. Throughout its service life of 3500 - 4500 hours, it can help enterprises save substantial electricity costs for operation.
Installationshinweise
Static grounding plate (pin) must be installed: 4930653181 comes with a dedicated anti-static flange gasket. During installation, the metal conductive pins or conductive plates on the flange gasket must not be omitted or damaged. If static electricity generated by the high-speed friction of oil and gas cannot be discharged, it will directly break down the filter element and even ignite the oil and gas, causing an air compressor explosion. • Check the oil return pipeline: When replacing a new filter element, inspect the oil return pipe at the top of the oil separator tank. The distance between the tip of the oil return pipe and the bottom of the oil separator core should be kept between 2 and 3 millimeters, and the oil return check valve must be unobstructed. If the oil return pipe is blocked or too short, the separated lubricating oil cannot be drawn back to the main unit, resulting in excessive oil carry-over in the compressed air. • No rough installation is allowed: The glass fiber material is very fragile. Lower the filter element vertically into the housing during installation; avoid knocking or squeezing the main body of the filter element. Tighten the flange bolts diagonally in a staggered pattern with gradual torque increments to ensure even stress distribution and prevent air leakage caused by displacement of the fluoroelastomer sealing ring.
Wartung & Ersatz
Closely monitor the pressure difference: establish a daily inspection system. When the pressure difference of the oil separator core reaches 0.08 - 0.1 MPa (0.8 - 1.0 bar), it indicates that the filter element is clogged and must be replaced immediately. Operating under faulty conditions will lead to a sharp increase in energy consumption and even crush the filter element. • Control exhaust temperature: The normal exhaust temperature of the screw air compressor should be maintained at 80°C - 95°C. If it exceeds 100°C for a long time, the lubricating oil will accelerate carbon deposition and aging, and the resulting gelatinous substances will quickly and firmly block the glass fiber filter material.
